CONFIDENCE
IS TRUST OR FAITH IN SOMETHING


Confidence is generally described as a state of being certain either that :

a hypothesis or prediction is correct

or
that a chosen course of action is the best or most effective.

SELF CONFIDENCE,OVERCONFIDENCE

Self-confidence

Self confidence is having confidence in oneself.
Arrogance or hubris in this comparison, is having unmerited confidence;
believing something or someone is capable or correct when they are not.


Overconfidence

It is the excessive belief in someone (or something) succeeding,
without any regard for failure.
Scientifically, a situation can only be judged after the aim has been achieved or not.

Confidence can be a self-fulfilling prophecy as those without it may fail or not try because they lack it and those with it may succeed because they have it rather than because of an innate ability.



When one does not dwell on negative consequences one can be more 'self-confident'
because one is worrying far less about failure or (more accurately) the disapproval of others following potential failure.
One is then more likely to focus on the actual situation which means that enjoyment and success in that situation is also more probable.
If there is any 'self-belief' component it is simply a belief in other`s ability to tolerate whatever outcome may arise; a certainty that one will cope irrespective of what happens.
Belief in one's abilities to perform an activity comes through successful experience
and may add to, or consolidate, a general sense of self-confidence
People may have confidence in other people or forces beyond their control.
For instance, one might have confidence in the police to protect them,
or might have confidence that a sports team.
Faith and trust are synonyms of confidence when used in this sense. will win a game.

Jealousy is a combination of fear and anger. It is the fear of losing something

Jealousy often occur over an anticipated loss of something that the person values,
FOR EXAMPLE:
relationship,
friendship,
love.

Jealousy often consists of a combination of emotions such as
anger, sadness, and disgust.
It is not to be confused with envy.

Jealousy is a familiar experience in human relationships.
It has been observed in infants five months and older.
Some claim that jealousy is seen in every culture;
however, others claim jealousy is a culture-specific phenomenon.

- Topic of interest for scientists, artists, and theologians.
- Psychologists have proposed several models of the processes underlying jealousy
and have identified factors that result in jealousy.
- Sociologists have demonstrated that cultural beliefs and values play an important role in determining what triggers jealousy and what constitutes socially acceptable expressions of jealousy.
- Biologists have identified factors that may unconsciously influence the expression of jealousy. -Artists have explored the theme of jealousy in photographs, paintings, movies, songs, plays, poems, and books.

HOW TO OVERCOME IT ?

Understand the emotions

Allow yourself to actually 'feel' emotions in a healthy way.
When you start feeling jealous, ask yourself: Is it more fear-based or more anger-based, and why?

Communicate your feelings
Sharing your true feelings with someone without blaming them

Identify what your jealousy is teaching you
Ask yourself, "Why am I jealous over this?
When you begin to understand what makes you jealous,
you can begin to take positive steps to maintain those things

Change any false beliefs that might cause jealousy
If you examine the belief, you can often eliminate the jealousy

Make a list of all your good points and only compare yourself to yourself rather than to others.
Raise your sense of self worth and self confidence by acknowledging your accomplishments, inner qualities and other good things about you

Frustration is a common emotional response to opposition.


It is related to anger and disappointment,
The greater the obstruction, and the greater the will,
the more the frustration is likely to be.

Causes of frustration

Result of blocking motivated behavior.
If left uncontrolled,it will lead to anger.

People who are frustrated respond with rational problem-solving methods to overcome the barrier. Failing in this, he/she may become frustrated and behave irrationally.

Frustration
may be internal or external.

Conflict can also be an internal source of frustration;
when one has competing goals that interfere with one another,
it can create cognitive dissonance.

External causes of frustration involve conditions outside an individual,
such as a blocked road or a difficult task.

In people, internal frustration may arise from :
- challenges in fulfilling personal goals and desires,
- instinctual drives and needs,
- lack of confidence
- fear of social situations.

While coping with frustration, some individuals may engage in
passive-aggressive behavior, making it difficult to identify the
original cause of their frustration

Symptoms

Frustration can be considered a problem-response behavior,
and can have a number of effects,

In positive cases
This frustration will build until a level that is too great for the individual to contend with, and thus produce action directed at solving the inherent problem.

In negative cases
The individual may perceive the source of frustration to be outside of their control,
and thus the frustration will continue to build, leading eventually to
further problematic behavior (e.g. violent reaction).
